World Wetlands Day Celebration
February 2 is World Wetlands Day! Did you know that the Living Coast is located on the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge? As residents of the wetlands, we get a close view of the rich biodiversity that inhabits it. From endangered species like the Ridgway’s Rail to migratory birds, the Sweetwater Marsh, and all marshes, is a vital habitat for wildlife and essential for humanity and nature to thrive!
Visit the Living Coast to celebrate the wetlands and learn more about the marsh at our Watershed Discovery Table, stop by an Animal Presentation to learn about some of the animals that are native to San Diego, and finish the day in the arts & crafts room!
