Save the Eagles Day Celebration

January 10 is Save the Eagles Day! Join us on January 13 & 14 to celebrate these majestic raptors that soar above the Earth. Stop by the 10:30 AM Eagle Presentation, then visit our Discovery Tables to learn more about the eagles that call the Living Coast home, and finish off the day in the arts & crafts room!

While the day started as a way to save a specific pair of bald eagles and to raise awareness about the species, the observance has grown to encompass all species of eagles. Poaching, pesticides, and other dangers threaten eagle populations, but thankfully the bald eagle is no longer on the endangered species list! Approximately 60 species of eagles populate the world. The most common species in North America are the bald and golden eagles.

All activities are included with admission.
